FAMILY TRADITION
The Canoe Club Ballroom has been family owned and operated since 1964. The first Generation owners of the Merola family were a husband and wife team, Paul and Laura. They were ballroom dancers and instructors and wanted their own place to teach the community to love dance as much as they did. In the 70s Paul and Laura started hosting weddings and events and that tradition has lived on through today. In the early 2000s, Stacy Merola (Daughter of Paul and Laura) took over the family business. And now, Stacy's son Drew is being groomed to be the third generation owner. The Merola family has enjoyed hosting thousands of events and sharing in the special days of so many.
NOTE FROM THE OWNER
Hi, I’m Stacy and I am the second generation owner of the Canoe Club Ballroom. I would like to personally thank you for your consideration in allowing the Canoe Club Ballroom to host your special day. Service, quality, and value is the approach to business that my family has taken for over 60 years. My parents Paul and Laura believed in giving the best possible experience with the highest level of quality and service, all at an affordable price. It is in this tradition that I have continued the family legacy as a second generation owner and I am honored that we have successfully been a part of thousands of our couples’ fondest memories. My son Drew is now part of the CCB family and my hope is that some day he will be the third generation owner and continue the legacy that my parents started in 1964.
