  • The Canoe Club Ballroom is set in the woods along the Nunckatessett River and has many different spaces to help make your day perfect. For decades, couples have taken advantage of our two acres of beautifully landscaped, riverside courtyard to create the perfect scenic view to host their wedding ceremonies and to take amazing timeless photos. Indoors, our ballroom boasts the largest hardwood dance floor in New England as well as plenty of space for even the largest wedding. The CCB has private spaces for our couples as well as plenty of areas for guests to enjoy including our lounge area with a river view. Our secluded spot nestled deep in nature will wow your guests while providing the perfect spot for you special day.

On your special day the ceremony you and your wedding party will be escorted to the riverview patio by your personal wedding attendant. Our riverview patio is the perfect place for the wedding party to lounge and toast the happy couple just after the nuptials. After your toast, the patio will be enjoyed by the wedding party as a comfortable place to “hang out” during formal photos.

Every guest will have a perfect riverside view while you exchange your vows in front of our gazebo. Our stunning view and complimentary lemonade or hot apple cider stand will ensure that you have the wedding ceremony of your dreams. Your ceremony will include thirty minutes of added time and a full staff on hand. Our gazebo also offers the perfect backdrop for formal photos during the day and romantic evening photos when lit at night.

Our ivory pergola and cascading fence provide an elegant entryway into our two acres of riverside courtyard. During the day and when lit in the evening, enjoy the perfect spot for artistic daytime, twilight, and evening photos.

During formal photos on our grounds, enjoy the backdrop that is created by a stone finished arched bridge. While many couples use this bridge as a backdrop for formal photos, some enjoy photos taken with the entire wedding party on the bridge.

Adjacent to the grounds of the Canoe Club Ballroom, the War Memorial Town Park offers a beautiful atmosphere for your formal and "first look" photographs. Complete with a covered bridge, stone walls, waterfalls, a wishing well, and so many other beautiful attributes, this five acre public park offers endless photo opportunities.
